Getting a Leah Wilkerson and Adrian slack

by Goodkoalie » Fri Sep 26, 2014 4:54 pm

Hi all. Recently a private seller had a list of sarracenia up for sale. On that list were 3 Leah Wilkerson. I asked if they could hold one for me, since i had to work the money from my mom. Last night, she bought it for me. Only costed 35.00 and shipping. I can't wait for it to get here.

A few weeks ago, my dad was on his way to a loss (He works at a insurance company) and he stopped by california carnivores. While there, he was able to pick out a adrian slack and it had 2 plants in it instead of one. He said i can have the smaller one when he repots it this winter. the on i will get is making leaves almost 6 inches tall.

Wow, adrian slack is like THE most expensive Sarracenia! Leah wilkerson is pretty expensive too! Good job getting those!

Great bloke Adrian Slack.
Got me first interested in CPs years back (but i didnt grow back then with much success) after reading his book "Carnivorous Plants"
He ran a nursery over here called Marston Exotics.

Adrian slack was a amazing man. I am happy that his legacy lives on though his book and some of his plants.

Just a little update, my dad ended up buying me a 2 growth point AS from CC for Christmas. It is pushing up a new leaf. My LW seems to be growing a flower, but i will cut it as soon as it comes out of the rhizome to have it put it's energy into leaves and roots.
