If someone is a ACTIVE member of this forum and CONTRIBUTES to the site in some way, I have no problem with them posting here about something that they're trying to sell. But seeing as this is your first post, you're definitely NOT an active member of the forum.

You've signed up for the purpose of trying to sell stuff to the forum members. It's obvious that since you sell stuff on eBay that you're some kind of retailer and not just a person that has a few extra seeds or plants that they're trying to get rid of. I'm not really in favor of people soliciting here, but since I haven't posted any previous rules, I'll let this post stay.

However, I've updated the forum rules and any future posts of this nature will be deleted.

Sorry about that, Matt. I wasn't trying to rub anyone the wrong way. Many thanks for allowing my post to remain.

I do intend to contribute to this forum in the future, I just haven't quite gotten a feel for the layout here yet.

Hello Jeremy and welcome to Flytrapcare. We hope to see you more often and contribute to the forum. And actually, I did an order of Filiformis "Florida Red" a month ago, I'm from Calgary if you still remember. Talk to you soon!

Apology accepted Jeremy. I hadn't really made clear what this forum was for, so it's as much "my bad" is yours. I just don't want to turn the Sales, Trades & Wants forums into a place where retailers come to post for free advertising. The intent of these forums is for active members that have extra plants, seeds or whatever to have a place to get rid of them.

If you'd like to advertise on the site, you can do so by purchasing the ad space at the top and bottom of every page through Google Adwords.
