The pic of the red variety looks very similar to a cultivar I was looking at the other day called 'gold strike with that almost gold hue on the leaves very cool little plant.

This thread makes me wish I fed my flytrap seedlings as much from the start. They're twice as old as yours but still seedling size!

maybe to little light? the red pigment might prevent some light and staying flat

They stay outside in direct sunlight for 6-7 hours and rest under artificial lights

Probably a genetic thing. Quite a number of red flytraps grow low to the ground all the time and never send up vertical leaves.

I repotted my two plants grown from seed, they look already completely different as from 6 months update. And to my mind they look quite a bit messed up as I did a few mistakes during my experiments but now already recovered. I think next month they should look already nice. Red one already started sending vertical leaves so it wont be a horizontal red cultivar.
