by Matt » Mon May 17, 2010 6:02 pm

Here it is people! Submit your photos to this thread to be entered in the contest. Either upload them directly to the forum (by clicking the "Upload Attachment" tab below the text area when posting) or upload them to the community portion of the site and link them to a post in this thread. The only posts that should be in this thread are photo submissions. All other posts will be deleted or moved.

Be sure to read the rules here: FlytrapCare Photo Contest Rules.

When submitting your photo, please also include your country of residence.

The contest is open for submissions for 10 days, closing the evening of May 26th. After the contest closes for submissions, a poll will be made from all of the submitted photos and every forum member will have one vote for the photo that they like the best. Voting will be open for 3 days, starting the morning of the 27th and ending the morning of the 30th.

This is exciting!

Hi, nightsky from TF here. Here is a macro of a vft typical grown under lights. I really like this shot as it displays the trigger hairs, digestive glands, and nectar secretion all quite well.

I like this one. I took it a few months ago when the plants were recoving from me being out of town for a week.

edit: I guess I should have posted what type of camera I used to take the picture of the fly trap. I have a nice Canon digital but it doesn’t take very good close-ups. For the close-up shots, I like to use my JVC camcorder. I get four hours of video on the hard drive, 10K pictures on the SD card, and all of it with a 800mm zoom. It’s my all in one camera. :D
