Hey peeps, today arrived a Sarracenia x 'Red Bug' I bought online, and while it looked nice, when transplanting it to my outdoor mini bog I managed to break the thickest root. Should I start saying goodbye to it?

Anyway, here are some pics of the plant and not the broken root, because I'm ashamed of my mistake

No. Breaking off one root is not really a big deal.

it might stun its growth for a week or three but it will be fine. sarracenia are tough, what else would be happy with a mouth full of bees?

keep it very wet for three or four weeks to minimise the work required from the existing roots and allow new root growth.
