feeding sarracenia and growth exploaded

by optique » Tue Jun 18, 2019 11:46 pm

This spring i was looking at this alata x minor i noticed it had the smallest growth point on top, and snapped it off and placed it in the same pot. well it had 1 small half dead pitcher. I clipped off the brown and waited a month not much growth at all. so i was feeding some sundews fish food so i squirted some in the open pitcher and growth exploded. what do you guys think just weird timing, or the fish food caused it?

Nah, you're on to something. I feed mine crab meal after a transplant to help with shock.

once the pitchers are developed on my sarracenia and I notice nothing has crawled in, I hydrate freeze dried blood worms, throw a little in there and my plants have been growing really well
