fed sundew ant

i fed my sundew and ant a few hours ago and the leaf hasnt moved and curled around it to start digesting it? How long does it usually take to do both?

haha i too feed my drosers ants it takes a few minuets for it to curl up but i don think you can see it being digested well i didn't

depends on what kind of sundew you have, some dont curl but only catch and digest right where the bug lands

Well like what Kevin said it might be the type of sundew you have.. like the North American sundews (D. filiformis) They don't "close" around the insects they capture (just an example). It's either that or the sundew's not in the right conditions and is having a hard time adapting..

Well can you tell us the kinda of sundew it is?

When I put an ant on my filliformis, the part of the leaf above the ant burned. Maybe it was the acid in the ant, and the filliformis was just a seedling with thin leaves.
