Well, as you all know, I started my VFT challenge of growing them not too long ago (a lil over 3 weeks). The plants that I have bought were very small, young, and, of course, not the greatest condition, buying them from Lowe's. I just would like to say that the first VFT, had 3 leaves with 3 traps on each leaf and the second VFT has 6 leaves with 5 traps. Now, my three leaf plant already has 7 leaves with 5 open traps and 2 opening traps and my 6 leaf now has 8 leaves with 7 open traps. This growing season seems to be going successful for my first year of growing these plants. . . I definately look forward to expanding my variety of VFTs here shortly.

Congrats! It sounds like you've definitely been bitten by the Dionaea bug. I expect to see your collection grow exponentially now

This is my first season growing VFT's also, and I know exactly how you feel about watching the new traps develop and open Excitement is definitely a good term for it!
