Is this a error ?

Yeah that happens to me too.

For some reason, sometimes, this happens when trying to log in even with the correct password. I haven't been able to determine the cause.

But if the CAPTCHA is entered correctly, it always allows logging in.

This makes it impossible to log on with my phone via Tapatalk. No CAPTCHA is shown to type in.

Hmm, I don't use Tapatalk but I've seen lots and lots of posts from other members who do use it and they seem to have no issue logging in. I'll have to check into logging in with Tapatalk and get back to you unless someone else posts here who uses Tapatalk and can explain how they log in.

I think a user signed in to Tapatalk and that stopped the issue for him.

sometimes it prevents me from logging in but other times i don't even have to fill in a captcha for some reason, i guess it's nice to know that i'm not the only one havign this error

Thanks for the continued feedback. I think I know the origin of the forum login problem, but there is no good solution to the issue.

OK, I think I have found a fix for the problem!!

Please let me know if you still receive a notification about the number of allowed login attempts being exceeded. I believe that it should be resolved now as of 11am PST on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

@Benny, Thanks! I have to admit that I'm somewhat embarrassed that I didn't get to finding the fixes sooner. They really weren't all that difficult to fix once I decided that I was just going to figure out the issues no matter how long it took! I just needed a sufficient break in higher priority work to buckle down and find the fixes. But am very happy that the forum works well again

Matt, Glad to hear that you fixed it. Honestly, I was getting ready to quit the forum. It was making me do captcha 3 times after the first logon attempt and I have been really frustrated by it. There were days I spent more time with loggin on than browsing the forum.

Oh no! That's odd. I had to do it every time I logged in too, but I would get in the first try with the CAPTCHA every time, so it wasn't a big deal. Also, I was checking the box to stay logged in, so I very rarely had to do it. Thus, it was such a low priority for so long. But I too am VERY glad it is fixed!

It's no longer happening to me either, quite a relief! Thank you for the fix!
