eBay sellers, share your experiences here!

by plantman1001 » Tue Feb 19, 2013 1:13 am

As the title says, your experiences here!

All reviews are listed in alphabetical order.

Copy the questions and put you answers under them.
Rate each question from 1 out of 10(one being the worst and 10 being the best)

Price of the plant.

What was the health of the plant?

If you got a bad plant what did the seller do to make it right?

Shipping price.

How fast was the shipping?

How well was the plant packed?

How was the sellers communication?

How accurate was the sellers description of the plant?

Other?

Here are some reviews so far:

elranchopinguicula: (Written By SEWinans)
Price: 10, Excellent! Bought one, seller sent me two!
Health: 10, I think they're lovely, though they're sulking right now from being shipped--Just got them today! (02/22/13)
Shipping cost: 10, average
Shipping time: 10, just a few days
Packaging: 10
Communication: 10
Description: 10, picture of exact plant was included in the add.
Other: Obviously I use eBay a LOT for CP's... So far I've had really good luck!

flytraps: (Written By plantman)
Price of the plant(s) 9
What was the health of the plant? 10
Shipping price. 8-10
How fast was the shipping? 10
How well was the plant packed? 9-10
communication? 10
How accurate was the sellers description of the plant? 10
Other?
Out of all the plants I have gotten from Dean, not one has ever been bad!

Joelscarnivorousplants: (Written By akinkysnorlax)
Price- 10 excellent prices considering the shipping is FREE
Health- 10 always living, minimal time settling in
No bad plants (in my experience)
Shipping- 10 FREE!
Shipping speed- 10 sends out plants every monday or tuesday so you usually get them the same week
Packaging- 10 professional packaging, uses LFS to help cushion plant throughout travel
Communication- 10 superb effort on his part
Description- 10 perfect wording that ensures you know what you will be buying

Leilani Nepenthes Nursery: (Written By akinkysnorlax)

Keep in note I have only purchased Venus flytraps and Sundews from here, but Tropical Pitcher Plants are what they truly specialize in.

Price: 8 Slightly high prices for the popular flytraps (B52, A2)
Health: 10 Exceptional specimens were sent to me. By far the best I have ever owned.
No bad plants (in my experience)
Shipping: 8 High shipping cost but is high for a reason. Professionally packed plants with foam to ensure cushioning.
Shipping Speed: 10 Same concept as the review from Joelscarnivorousplants
Packaging: 10 Once you see and open packaging you will understand why the shipping price was a little high
Communication: 9 Seller will answer questions ASAP, but is heavily involved in ICPS and makes frequent trips to discover and learn new carnivorous plants.
Description: There is not a description really but the photo is very accurate with what you will receive.

Other: Depending on how much you buy, the seller will usually include a pretty significant bonus plant(s)
His B52 and A2 plants are the results from propogating the TRUE B52 and A2 mother plants from Henning. Basically as close as you can get from owning the first.

Packaging: 10, plants arrived in perfect condition.
Communication: 10+ Seller is willing to answer any questions that you may have.
How accurate was the sellers description of the plant? 10

Other? Seller was willing to answer my questions (in great detail) months after my purchases.

richjamrichard: (Written By SEWinans)

Price: 10, buy it now. No bidding war necessary. For the size of the ceph, great!
Health: 10, lost NO pitchers! Plant settled in right away.
Shipping price: 10, reasonable.
Shipping speed: 10, excellent! Arrived a few days after I bought it.
Packaging: 10, not even the soil was disturbed.

I am sorry for giving these two sellers nearly perfect 10's, but I can guarantee you will not be let down. There are several more sellers I have purchased from like FTS and California Carnivores, but I am positive someone else will mention them. Both are exceptional.

I only order seeds. Anyway, the shipping took like four weeks. =.= Price not really reasonable. Shipping fee for $3! So expensive.
