Having a regia would be a dream, but I feel like I'd kill it within days of having it.

I've told myself the same thing before trying but my big one is the first and only one that I bought.
I grow it indoor under turbo neons, nothing special really and I propagate it like weed.
I'd even say during the unusual big heatwave we had on last summer, it's the plant that resisted the best, among all of my carnivore plants.

That's great! I imagine growing it indoors gives you a bit of safety when it comes to extreme weather. I personally would rather grow it outdoors to see how big it can get, but sometimes we have crazy weather, and I'm not willing to spend too much money on a plant...yet.

I don't have a garden nor a balcony, simply windows sides so space is limited.
I'm a dionaeas guy and my cultivars are indoor so I can control more the heat, sunburnt, water..etc
My dionaeas seedlings are, them, outside in full sun, I'm less worried of a precious loss in case of.
Almost all of my droseras are growing indoor.

Great looking Regia! Would you mind telling the growing conditions for yours? Hours under the turbo neons, height away from the grow light, temperature, media and watering?

I have my medium sized Regias under MarsHydro 300 for a 14 hour cycle in NZ LFSM. Current max temp will be 78 degrees F and about 16 inches away from the grow lights from the tip of the plant. And top watering and draining it once or twice a week.

Thank you. My Regias are in LFS with perlite. Under turbo-neons (I can probably find the exact references if I dig into my messy "plants stuffs" area but if it helps there's a "white" and a "blue" (that I buy in a growshop, approx 20-25cm of distance and around 12h30/13 hours a day. They're indoor all year long. In winter I'd say around 18/20°C (65/68°F). Paris climate, in summer we can have bad heatwaves (at worst it easily reached like 95°F inside but drosera Regia is the one that handles it the best among all of my carnivore plants. In sping/summer they have feet in water, in fall and winter they're not and I just top water them when I feel that the media needs it.

Hi.
Did you get leaf cuttings to strike under the turbo neons?
I think I am going to take cuttings from my d. Regia
nice looking plants!

so I guess they just naturally divided?
I will get leaf strikes.

Yes I do the cuttings under the turboneons.
I processed by root cuttings but they also shot some 2 or 3 natural offsets.

Thanks! I am going to have to add indoor lighting. I have mostly grown whatever grows easily in zone 8. but i keep a few things in my kitchen west facing window, like the d. regia. they are happy there. and it doesnt get above 80F degrees
