So I will be repotting my drosera Regia pretty soon and I was wondering what everyone uses as their soil mix. At the moment I use equal parts peat, perlite, and pumice, but I was wondering if anyone who lives in warmer parts of the world had a good soil that works well for them.

I live in South Australia where Summer temperatures regularly go above 35 degrees C. 50% perlite & 50% long fibre sphagnum works well in a tall 6" pot - This way you can leave the whole thing sitting in a shallow tray of water without fear of the roots rotting, or drying out.

Do you guys keep it outside in full sun or in partial sun?

Mine's in the greenhouse and gets the full afternoon sun - 50% shade until midday though.

Do you find that they need a drop in temperature from day to night. If so, how much of a drop? Last summer was my first time with mine, I put ice cubes every night to cool down the roots, but I am not sure if it was really necessary.
