Hi. I have grown a few Drosera capensis seeds and it is my first time caring for them. My questions are: can I use a 1:1 mix of sphagnum and perlite? Should I keep them in a tray of water? Can I use a 6500 kelvin growlight? The seedling are small, when should I repot them? I live in a very dry climate, should I mist them?

Yes, yes, and yes. You can repot whenever you want and there is really no need to mist them as long as they stay sitting in water. That will keep humidity up enough for them.

^^^ I repotted some Capensis seedlings and they are doing fine. Nothing can really kill them. Well... stuff can kill them but it’s hard

I dont think you understand how small it is. I think re-potting will be in the future.
The black dot is just a bug.

I realize how small it is from your pictures. And I repot sundews that small all the time. I germinate them in small containers then when they look like that or just a little bigger I replant them in their permanent pot. It’s actually easier at that point because the roots haven’t gotten very big and all tangled with the soil.

To repot it, should I pull up the whole root system or take a small amount of its medium into another pot?

If you can do it with a little media that would be best. The less you disturb the roots the better.

You shouldn't need to repot it for a while. They can get to a pretty good size with very limited root space.
