We have a city Food waste composting program; during the summer the outdoor compost can can get pretty ripe, and the fruit flies appear in droves. I just take a sundew and swipe it through the air a couple of times, and end up with 30 or so stuck to the leaves!

binata multifida, capensis, serpens and spiralis. But binata multifida is the densest and most effective. Still, serpens is not to be sneezed at.
