Does this flytrap appear to be decently potted?

Hi everyone - I purchased a "rescue" flytrap yesterday from a garden supply store and made an attempt today at transitioning him out of the pot that he came in and into a new pot, using a medium of silica sand and long-fiber sphagnum. Ha and in doing so I made an attempt at the "double taco" method that Matt outlines on the website, but I'm not sure that I totally pulled it off and was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me whether or not I've done an adequate job here. Here are some photos of the end result:

In particular I'm wondering whether I've successfully covered up all or enough of the rhizome? And does the flytrap appear to be secured snugly enough in place? Does it need a higher "collar" of moss around it?

Thanks so much for the help!!

Zach

If anything it looks like it needs the moss to be a bit lower around the growth point. I am not sure though.

Looks fine. I've had some VFTs that were barely sitting in miss over the years that still grew. Those look good to me.

Looks good. If you want, you can push a little bit of the soil from the center of the plant. It will allow more light to hit the new leaves.

Looks good to me! It's hard to see the crown, so it might be a bit deep, but it looks like it is at the right level based on the leaves.

Got it - thanks to all of you for the perspectives! I was able to clear most of the sand out of the flytrap's growth point, so thanks for that recommendation as well.

looks great, all I would do would be to push down the soil near the crown.
