I think those two things are part of the stem although I'm not sure. Has anyone ever seen that before? (It's a D. Capensis Typical)

As Panman said they are just roots that form above soil. My sundews often produce them too. Eventually they will grow and burrow under the media. Then even new plants can sprout from them.
