The vibrant "hot pink" coloring in the store is a mystery that doesn't seem to replicate on subsequent traps once "rescued". Maybe they need to stay in the cube with poor artificial lighting and little to no watering to maintain that feature.
They are excellent fly catchers with fast traps so I'll give them that.

The same goes for the Sarrs that you rescued. Were they the rhizomes in dried peat moss pots or were they already growing so that you could see what they were?
