I'm building a fogger for a highland tank. I got everything together and the fan I bout to go on top has fore wires. I looked it up and it said that black and yellow were power. I went and wired it up and it works but a very lowe power. Did I do something wrong or is that just the way it is. It's a 90mm arctic fan if that helps.

What did you wire it to? Is the power supply and the fan rated for the same wattage?

I wired it to a DC charger plug. Its rated for 4.2v which I thought would be more than enough to run this little fan.

It really depends on what the fan is rated for. If it’s 12 volt then it’s only running at 1/3 speed. Does the fan say what volt it is rated at?

I'll have to check the box. It doesn't say on the fan.
