If tokaiensis produces hibernaculum and spatulata doesn't, can this be used to verify the plant? By the way, my spatulatas were from seeds I got from Carnivorous Plant Nursery. https://carnivorousplantnursery.com/col ... lata-seeds

Tokaiensis do produce hibernacula (from my experience). I don't have experience with spatulata, but I'm guessing it will form a hibernacula as well (tropical dews can form hibernacula if temperatures are cold enough, but not too cold (as in freezing)).
