This is my very first VFT that I grew from seed. It was the first to sprout from a pack of seeds I bought at flytrapstore.com. Here is a succession of pictures as it grew. There are some lapses in time but I assure you this is the same plant. It germinated on September 22, 2016. Today I looked at it and two of the divisions are putting up flower stalks. That’s seed to flowering in 18 months. I kept it inside under lights for the first 5 months then it went outside to fend for itself. I fed it maybe 3 times in those 5 months and never fed it once it went outside. I just repotted it at the end of dormancy and there are 3 divisions. Pretty vigorous grower I think. And I love how it only grows low traps. Can’t wait to get some seed from it.

Can you post a picture next to a ruler for scale? The plant has a nice architecture.

Thanks. It’s just coming out of dormancy now and I can’t wait to see how big it gets this summer.

That thing is a ground hugger for sure. Even in the summer. Would be interesting to know what cultivar the seeds came from.
