So, I finally decided to see how well I've learned on how to take care of flytraps and went out to Lowe's to find a trap in a cube. Out of the bunch that were left, only one looked the best, even better then the big one they had. :? One wasn't even there, just a stump, so depressing. It'll be in a standard medium like the rest of them. The only difference is the container, which is a plastic pot, that way the effect [if any] of clay or glazed pots aren't variables. So I'll try and snap a picture of it now and show it's progress just like the rest of them. *Takes a deep breath* wish me luck :)

Edit: Well here are the pics, not the best since it's from my phone but something.

Good luck with your new plant. It's probably really thankful you rescued it from there!

I got some pictures of the one I bought at Lowes if you wanna look at that. Although I have removed it from "the cube of death" and planted it in a bigger pot I haven't changed the growing medium, 100% moss, and so far its been doing well.

That trap really looks great, was it healthy when you got it or was it droopy like mine?

Well a new Lowes opened near me, so I bought it then. It was really healthy, prolly cuz it was a brand new Lowes and they got a fresh stock. I went back about a month after I bought it and all the plants looked like yours or worse, so I was lucky to get a nice plant from there.

Hey guys, just thought I'd show how the plant is doing so far :) Sunburn has now set in, so hopefully it will adapt and move on. Man this one looks terrible, does anyone know why the traps get like that when in the cubes?

This how its looking right now, obvious signs of sunburn and so on. I'm sure it'll pull through though

- kids (and adults) were poking at it and the traps no longer work
- not watered properly
- not enough light

Nice recovery! How many hours of direct sunlight does your balcony get. (At least I think that's a balcony)

Your right, it's a balcony. I think about about nine hours of direct sunlight, then the sun is behind the building.
