At first i thought it was just me bumping the trap when i cut the flower stalk but today at work i cut the 3 inch flower stalk that was on my bigmouth and i never touched the traps and about a minute after i cut it the 3 biggest traps closed. This happened to my fine tooth x red and maroon monster.

Interesting. I haven't experienced/noticed that before.

I've never seen that either. Were you watching when the traps closed? Maybe a bug did it when you weren't looking?

For me, some traps were closing after watering the plant. No water felt on the traps so I don't know why.

This plant is inside at my work. No bugs anywhere. Its super weird. we literately watched them slowly close over the course of a minute

Is it dry? The cause is probably a drop in water pressure caused by cutting the plant and causing a surge of sap to the cut. Maybe water it 15nin before cutting it?
