Cultivar ID?

Winter leaves are identical to that of a non-upright typical VFT, but summer leaves have inch long petioles with red cilia in intense sunlight. Also seems to clump very quickly since this plant went from one growing point to at least 5 in 2 months, but it might be the Maxsea and not genetics. Does this description match any existing cultivars?

Sounds to be well within the range of a "normal" or "typical" Venus flytrap to me and looks pretty normal in the photos. Any Venus flytrap that is not labeled should be considered a typical Venus flytrap unless you know for a fact it is a named cultivar that lost its label or it is sufficiently unique enough to be considered a new cultivar.

Regardless, it sounds and looks like a very nice plant! :D

Thanks for the clarification, Matt. This was a Lowe's vft so I guess expecting it to be a specific cultivar was kind of out there. Regardless, at least I have divisions now to give away in the winter.

Yes, give those divisions away and get others interested in carnivorous plants!
