Clumping cultivar is nuts

My Clumping cultivar plants are at it again. I counted 34 flower stalks, could have missed a few in all the clutter. I'm not sure how many divisions are in that 12-inch / 30-centimeter pot. All of them came from just 5 plants in 2 year's time. I need to stop by a pet store and buy a bunch of crickets to feed the little monsters.

Is this an actual cultivar? Btw MikeB, I noticed that the VFTs I got from you tend to go into “gremlin mode” when the potting medium gets dirty. Must be a clumping gene in your parent plants :)

According to Jeremiah Harris, yes.

That seems to be a common occurrence with all of my flytraps, regardless of cultivar. When the soil goes sour, they hunker down and multiply (at least they don't trash my house.... ). My Pink Venus flytraps are doing it this year, have to repot them soon.

It always surprises me when ‘Clumping’ is an ICPS registered cultivar and “King Henry” isn’t, lol. Your Clumping pot looks beautiful!

That's just crazy. I see King Henry flytraps everywhere, and I always thought it was an official cultivar.

Thanks! When the flowers are done, I'm going to divide and repot them (not hard to do in the middle of summer as long as you take a little precaution). I'm going to have a fire sale on this cultivar, in case you want to start your own "horde". :D

That’s tempting, but I just got one from Jeremiah :) Hopefully, my one Clumping will be at least 3 by the end of the growing season.
