I see @hollyhock and her gorgeous european ping hybrid. I'll withdraw if barter-posting isn't allowed. *BUT* If she can claim P. poldinii (from Italy), I'd love to scooch a P. grandiflora (non-hybrid) in for Challenge 24.

Also, hollyhock...we need to chat cold temperate pings. I need more in my life!

H. minor x heterodoxa
I got this unrooted cutting a few weeks or so ago, and it is still alive! I think it’s the most “difficult” plant I’ve gotten to date. I do need to figure out the burned spots, though.

Challenge # 25: Drosera Regia. I am most proud of this plant as I just received a couple weeks ago from MikeB and it is already shooting up new growth.

Congratulations! I’ve always wanted to try a Heliamphora, but they scare me. Do you keep it in a grow chamber or anything special?

Also +1 bonus for a new genus!

The pot it’s in has a humidity dome that snaps on it, and I’ve kept that on. I have it in a mini greenhouse also. It hasn’t been getting any special treatment as far as the temperature changes that it wants, as it’s in with everybody else. One of these days soon I’ll have to try to make it a little happier.

They are finicky!! I recently divided my minor as it was busting out of the pot I had it in. I am a little concerned with the two main divisions but it seems several smaller ones are taking. Very strange. I keep mine in high humidity about 76 f and it seems to thrive.
This guy grows in the desert. Good video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVITT1ya_Uw&t=15s

The plant that got me here was my first Venus flytrap. It didn’t make it, but this forum gave me the confidence and motivation to try again. I found a Pinguicula cyclosecta and an ehlersiae. The cyclosecta unfortunately didn’t make it either, but this one did. In February I’ll have had it for a year, and I still think it’s beautiful every time I see it. I can list the couple other plants I have if this one doesn’t work or I can try doing a post like this.

Careful with them utric's. I had a couple that VERY quickly got out of hand, going from a small 2 gallon tank up to a 25 gallon tank. They are really cool too watch up close though and talking about them has me re thinking possibly trying them again.
ell at least my 30 gallon wouldn’t go to waste lol . Seriously though thanks for the warning. I like to try to anticipate potential future issues like that.

And you definitely should try them again. Your stuff is always really beautiful to see. :D

Challenge #25
U. longifolia
I am proud of this plant for surviving over a month in a box. When it came, it lost all of its leaves, and now it looks like it recovered. I can't wait for it to possibly flower next year.
