Meanwhile I’m trying to keep my greenhouse under 80 until I change the pads in my swamp cooler....

Your swamp cooler reminds me to make my first highland setup. And the rajah is already in the mail...

I'd pay 35 for that ceph. Looks healthy with many pitchers to feed!
My most weary experience with CC was when I took a chance and ordered a dewy pine from them. Nothing went wrong, quite the opposite, but it was stressful. The plant was about 3-4 months old. They pack it with moss to keep it stable for shipping, and it looked rough when I unpacked it. It was in a tall peat pot, which was in a tall square pot, covered, taped and wrapped to hell and back. Repotting was a simple enough affair. The very next morning, there were already glints of glue drops shining on all the leaves again. I had the plant until right after seed set, just over a year.

If anyone's curious, I dug up the pics of my mail-order dewy pine from CC. Gave many seeds!

Sorry for the sideways and out of order pics. Yes, the sight of that tape caused me stress sweats. I had a good idea for taping up plants like that- use different colored tape for each layer of the packing process. By doing this and leaving us a color order, we can safely remove layers from the outside in. No pulling tape that's taped under tape, taped down by other tape lol

I tried so hard to remove layer by layer. I finally stopped and just got a box cutter and cut around the base of the cut. After that, it's just a series of cuts after.

I've done the same on many occasions. My Florida Giant sundew was at the opposite end of the scale. It arrived completely dormant, a pot of dirt. I joyously hacked away with reckless abandon hahaha. Those are always a relief, underwhelming as the unveiling of a dormant plant may be.

I have one more pic of my mail-order dewy pine I have to show, and it's my favorite. So much so that it's been blown up, framed, and hung on my wall! I present the pic with a question- Can you spot the sinister detail that gives away exactly what dewy pines are all about?? You can't not see it once you have!

So small, I love it! It should be a thrill to watch the little guy (or gal!) grow large.

I know! It is cute with his tiny pitchers- I can’t wait for those monster pitchers!

However, it cost $75 + shipping for the rajah :( there was some algae in there too and it definitely could have looked neater. Otherwise, the plant looks good
