Carbonic acid, photosynthesis and aquatic plants

There is an old teory about plants, that they are using carbonic acid with photosynthesis. But for a CP, it seems that aquatic plants use carbonic acid. I have bought an old CP book, year 1935, from my country, wich say so. I will made a topic about the book.
