So, Mini Red giveaway. Pretty much normal coloration but slower and smaller growing. Two requirements: 2 months of membership in the Forum and (the tricky part) you've got to check the 10-day forecast for your zip code on weather.com. All expected daily highs have to be in the low 80s or less to avoid cooking the plant during travel. (For anybody who desperately wants one of these but is in a heat wave, I promise to do another giveaway in cooler weather.)

You pay postage - should be around $8.50.

I want to do this quickly so I can send it out Monday.

Anyhow, standard list and don't erase the previous entries - it's not polite.

1. person
2. someone else

Well, two isn't a lot of people. Anyone else interested? I want to decide this Sunday night so I can send it Monday. Or, to put it another way: Bump!

If only two enter, so be it. This is a pretty new variant of Cape, so many people are not familiar with it. Two entrants means better chances for those alert enough to throw their hat in.
Capes are tough, they'll pull through, and you can always do another giveaway if you have more.

BTW: My Mini Red I got yesterday from evenwind, repeat YESTERDAY, is already showing signs of boogering back up. It is recovering from shipping at a phenomenal rate.
This is exceeding my expectations for a Cape in many regards.
Just sayin'.

Don't let that stop you. I had high 80's yesterday, and for a few days prior it was low 90's, when my "Mini Red" arrived. It's already getting dewy after 24 hours of being planted and on my east facing windowsill.
Capes are a beast!

Okay, okay. Since one made to Tennessee in the heat, I'll change the temp requirements to the low 90s. That good for Georgia and NJ?

If you package it the way you did mine, temperature will be a minor issue to deal with. That was exceptional.
