Just got one of these.. Aparently they wrap around prey and are one of the easiest to keep.

Hi Adam, congradulations on the new plant. The cape sundew(Drossera capensis) is most likely the easiest carnivorous plant too keep, they are almost indestructible! When they catch prey they will wrap their thin leaves around the victim.

You won't be disappointed with Capensis - believe it or not, it can become a weed in some collections!

That's awesome! Is it a typical capensis? I'm sure you'll be happy with it. =) It's nice I think because they're quite pretty I think, and they grow very easily. Some people look at it as a negative thing that it can become a weed in collections, as linton said, but personally... I think of it as a positive thing! Just be careful when it seeds. ;]

Yup, they are literally weeds in collections. I started with 2 [1 Typical/1 Red] and they seeded like crazy.

Hello,

I keep them in a table with 4X4 foot T5s. I have 3 tables 6 feet in lenght. I only keep the high humidity ones [Helis, Cephs] in a terrarium.
