I'm new to carnivorous plants. So I need to ask ... Can you think of a reason I shouldn't double hang these like this? I have a feral cat issue so I want to keep my plants as high off the ground as possible

The water runoff from the pot above and possibility of blocking sunlight are the only things I can bring to mind otherwise you should be fine.

But as pictured seems good to me.

I think that would be fine for neps.

As far as run off, they are both nepenthes in plastic pots so I'm assuming the only concern would be from the metal hangers. I'll soak one overnight in some RO water and test it. If it's fine, I'll just keep an eye out for rust

Looks good to me I do the same thing on some smaller plants. Keep in mind they are a vine and at some point you will need to control it.

If you are near the coast, the salt in the wind can easily make the chains rust.

like optique said, they will vine, and having them close to one another could be a problem if the tendrils start wrapping around the other pot's hangars. Don't ask how I know...

I'm not too concerned with this as I look at these plants every day and due to the heat I water them every other day.
