Can pollen be stored?

Hello,

I have two giant variety flytraps that I would like to cross pollinate, but they are flowering at different times. I was wondering if it is possible to store Dionaea pollen for a few days, in a fridge or something.

Thanks!

Yes. Ziploc it and put it in the fridge.

Have you done this before Daniel? Do you know how long it stays viable?

I know that sarracenia pollen can be stored for 2 or 3 weeks. After that limit it wont be fertile..

Interesting, but flytraps and sarracenia are nothing alike, except they are both temperate. But who knows, maybe they have similar pollen or something? :P
