Before lowering the light wait till you use the diffuser to figure out where you're at with the DLI. The app and your phone are not precision lab instruments but should you well in the ballpark for what we're doing. Remember that when you lower the light the "good" spot of light shrinks...the outer areas of the light will always be weaker. Naturally when you raise it the "good" spot gets less intense...you have to fine the best combination of coverage and proper light strength.
