Last week I divided my dormant fly traps. The smallest one started looking real bad right away. Today I noticed it was browning at the bottom. Root rot. I unpotted it and the plant felt apart in my hand. However on closer inspection there is a teeeny tiny part of white left?? Is it too small to save? There is some brown/black on it as well. I have it out of all medium for the moment.

Yeah, that's probably too small to save, but it could potentially turn into a clump of really small flytraps if it is placed horizontally on the surface of some high-quality long-fibered sphagnum moss and kept damp.

Can't hurt to try. Worst case scenario, nothing happens, and you're only out a little time, space, moss, and the use of a little pot.
