Hey guys! How's it goin'? I am planning on ordering a nepenthes from Predatory Plants, and I am wondering which variety to get. The only specifics I have are it has to be under $20 and it has to be a highland nepenthes, or something I can grow indoors under flourescents or a window. I was looking at Khasiana and some others. So... what are your favorite nepentheses?

P.S. I heard you can grow Nepenthes in coconut coir without rinsing out the salt. Is that true?

Khasiana is supposed to be easy to grow in those conditions and it's also cool to help preserve an endangered species like that. If you get a Khasiana you could register it with the folks at Ark Of Life so that if it flowers you could send or receive pollen and make seeds. http://www.arkoflife.net/nepenthes-khas.html I've been thinking about getting one myself soon but probably from Lee's, and not until I get my new growroom finished. As for the coir I wouldn't try it. Everyone always says to rinse everything and the plants like sphagnum so much...
