I would like confirmation from someone with experience.
I've read that D. Binata var Multifida flowers are not self fertile, that I need another plant to get seeds. Can anyone confirm this from their own experience?
I have a single flower stalk going up, but if it isn't going to do anything, I should probably just cut it, plant it, and try for strikes.
Your thoughts?

I have had zero luck with getting seeds from a binata Multifida Extrema and a binata 'Marston's Dragon' by self pollinating them.

I'd cut off the flower scape at about 2 inches and get a clone that way.

The temperate binata from New Zealand is the only variety I ever got to self pollinate.
That is the Small T-Form, if I remember correctly.

Thanks Shadowtski. I have the T-Form "self fertile", in a different pot.
I'll go ahead and cut this stalk tomorrow, plant it in a different pot, and shoot for strikes. It's under one year old and already doing double splits, so it may have some strong genes.
