So, one of my seedgrown VFT clumps needed repotting because it’s pot was literally falling apart. In summer 2017, after it flowered for the first time, it got a bit dry while I was away and the main growth point died. Following that, it turned into a decent sized clump. So, I’ve got 3 small divisions and 1 tiny division to give away.

This clone isn’t anything particular special — it sprouted in 2012, is pretty vigorous, and gets traps up to about 1”. It also gets a nice reddish blush when it’s cold, but aside from that, it’s just an ordinary flytrap. Here are the divisions I’m giving away. The growth is a little funky because of how tightly packed they were, but they’re still healthy.

Small division #1: Small division #2: Small division #3: Tiny division: The rules are as follows: to enter the giveaway, you must have grown carnivorous plants for less than a year and have fewer than 5 species of carnivores. 4 winners will be picked at random on 1/7/2019 at noon CST. Only people from the lower 48 states can enter. The 4 winners will be randomly assigned to the divisions. Whoever wins the tiny division will also get a few cuttings of their choice from some of my sundews. I’ll ship them bareroot and cover the cost. If you live somewhere cold, we’ll work something out and your division will sit in my fridge in the meantime.

Love your attitude for the giveaway! I feel the same way, but unfortunately i have nothing to give just yet. Just got into this hobby, though my VFT just shot up two flowers so hopefully ill have some seeds in the near future.

Thanks! If I don’t get responses soon, I’ll re-work this into a beginners’ only giveaway. I’ve always had a lot of interest running those in the past :p

This is very kind of you to share your VFT Giveaway. Unfortunately, I am very very new to the hobby so I have nothing to give to others....yet. I am unable to enter.

I did want to thank you for supporting the community and making your giveaway available. I will follow your lead on this and do the same for the community once my new additions begin to flourish. I am very excited! I have plunged down the Carnivorous Plant on line education rabbit hole and I am thankful for sites like these that are all about helping fellow enthusiasts.
