do S.purpurea pitcher plants go through dormancy?? i read since they are from the southern states of america they can grow all year round. I live in Queensland, Australia. i bought 10 seeds on ebay and i have them in the fridge with moss for 3 weeks the instructions said. We are coming into autumn/winter. an average night is 11 degrees celsius and an average day is 17 degrees celsius. cheers mate.

Like Matt said, they all go through dormancy, no matter the location. Temperate plants trigger dormancy by total daylight hours mostly, not as much temperature related.
