Asking For Nepenthes Acclimation Tips

I just got a Nepenthes spectabilis x ventricosa BE-3745 from Carnivero. (Birthday gift from my cousins.) I’m planning on potting it into 1:1 sphagnum/perlite. I’m gonna bag it and put it in indirect light near the window. If you guys have any suggestions, please share them.

Nice! Sounds good and might I shamelessly plug my guide for acclimating nepenthes (6th post).

I used to be very delicate about this kinda thing but then I took a Smilesii I had seed grown and always left coveredand threw it outside in the shade for a week, then partial behind a couple others. Some species are finicky but most are a lot more adaptive than people think. I currently have highland crosses and intermediates chilling in partial sun here in FL getting blasted by 95 degree weather  Ventricosa are tough.

Thanks. I’m just paranoid about killing it. Oh, and I should’ve mentioned that I’m acclimating to a windowsill.

Did I pot the plant right?

Yeah looks good. Just keep an eye on it. If it looks like its really struggling, feel free to bag it but if it maintains, I'd just let it work itself out.

Only one plant of mine didn't acclimate and I brought it inside. Debating if I'm going to bag it to get its vigor back or not. You'll have more than a day to decide.

It’s in a bag. I just took the picture with the bag off.

Do I acclimate to humidity first then to direct light?

I’d personally do humidity first but honestly, I don’t think it would matter.

I have a similar cross, it's a tank.

Yeah I think I'll do humidity first because the temperature will rise too high in the bag if I put the plant in direct light.

My Nepenthes veitchii x ventricosa BE-4500 came yesterday. I bagged it and now it’s acclimating with the other nepenthes. I’m assuming the brown was because of the hot weather during shipping.

Do the plants look like they’re acclimating well? The bags are fully open and the plants are a few feet from the windowsill.

The VeitchiiVent looks great, kudos to you! Although I have to say, the SpectaVent looks a bit rough.

Even though the bag is fully open, it still gets kinda warm inside it. Could that possibly affect the spectabilis x ventricosa since spectabilis is a highland?
