Hello Guys,

I've tried to germinate VFT from seeds. I'm not sure if they are real or fake    , can someone please advise if they are real?!

hard to tell from the pictures but based on the 3rd picture, I'd say sorry, no. the way to tell for sure is that only the 1st two leaves (cotyledons) are normal looking leaves. Every leaf after the first 2 will be a trap if it's a VFT. you can buy seeds from FlytrapStore.com with free shipping and be assured they are real.

Nope, that's not flytraps. Sorry. Matt sells real flytrap seeds right here on this site. http://www.flytrapcare.com/store/carnivorous-plant-seed

Ya I also definitely recommend flytrapcare.com! Mostly if u got them off eBay or amazon and they originally came from China they are most likely fake! From what I’ve seen of vft sprouts they tend hug the ground “short” compared to other sprouts! Sadly sometimes even venders like a convenience store get fake seeds in vft kits from China.

Here’s a pic of a vft seed! It’s next to the grain of rice!

Give it some time, if the second set of leaves are traps, your good to go! From the pics it doesn’t look like they have gotten them yet! Granted they seem to tall to be a vft but really all you can do to make sure is wait!
