Are there any CP suppliers near Youngstown Ohio? Besides Lowes, I have had no success in finding any! I took a trip to Norfolk VA this summer, though, and thankfully I found my Sarracenia "Ladybug".

Finding carnivorous plants locally can be challenging due to the fact that they're more of a niche item. Occasionally nurseries and hardware stores will carry them or, if you're very lucky, you may have a CP nursery somewhere close to you. More CP nurseries seem to be springing up all the time online, but they're definitely not very densely populated throughout the US.

While they don't have a crazy selection, Hirt's Garden Center in Medina/ Wadsworth sells CPs. They have Nepenthes, Drosera, Dionaea, Pinguicula and Sarracenia for sale. Prices are a little high but at least it's something!

Sorry to best you bubble, but their plants are not very good.
My first cp's were from them through amazon, and when they arrived, the N. ventricosa was like 1.5 " across, and dehydrated, the D. spatulata was also dehydrated and more like 1" across and the VFT I got was very light starved.
I lost the VFT but was able to nurse the others back to health.
They were not packaged well at all.
Plus, the plants took forever to ship.
I would NOT recommend them.

I do agree with bananaman... not hating on bisnicks, but my experience with amazon isn't good either

I wouldn't bother with them if I were ordering online, but they're one of the few places around this area that even has CPs. If you go, you can select a stronger plant. Also, they don't go through the stress of shipment. It's worth at least visiting if you're an enthusiast.
