I sowed a few hundred vft seeds 2 weeks ago. Some really interesting crosses. And today they showed signs of life. Funnel trap and Cerberus are the first to emerge..

I need to try sowing VFT seeds. So far I've only tried sundew seeds. Hopefully though I can try cross pollinating my typicals next spring.

It is such a hopeful time of year. It is like having spring all over again!

Your seedlings look nice hollyhock! My batch from this year’s seed to abnormally long to start sprouting — almost a month. Last year’s seeds sprouted within 2 weeks.

They’re not much harder from seed than sundews are. They just take a lot longer to reach adulthood.

Two months old. I have been foliar feeding them with bat guano tea, and it seems to be fine. Actually I think it's helping.

Very neat to hear they are responding well to that mixture! I've heard of the stuff, though don't know much about it and never imagined it being a fertilizer for CPs! Haha. Excited to see how these develop!

It's very mild and I diluted it and just a light misting once a week. Here is the type I use. Notice the NPK values are extremely low. This is why I like it.

I use both for different plants. MaxSea has higher nitrogen and that can burn young plants easily if you make it to strong. And MaxSea seems to make unwanted stuff grow quickly in my medium...
