Alata deformed pitcher

Hello all

I have a nepenthes alata I recently got, and it had one pitcher on it when I purchased it. The pitcher had a little deformation and a small hole probably from a pest of some sort, and I thought it wasn’t going to grow anymore, but it is.

It’s growing quite a weird looking hood.

This is it compared to a younger pitcher which has a much more normal, flat hood.

Yep, that can happen sometimes when the pitcher is damaged during growth or when there is little humidity.

Something I’m also noticing is a lack of wings. Maybe it gave up on lowers and is moving to intermediates?
I would have to wait for the new pitcher to grow a bit bigger to tell though

i have something like that happens like twice a year between all my plants, just drop 4-6 osmocoat in it and it will cycle fast why feeding the plant.

It would be a lot more effort being osmocoat is slow release but sure.
