Oh, and by the way...a cut up white t-shirt makes a STELLAR light filter/shade cloth. It gives my new plants and leaf pullings just the right amount of light and keep some humidity in as well, but keeps the burning afternoon heat at bay.

Thanks man, i really hope they are taking. It seems that they are, i don't have much way to be sure yet, but i have a really strong feeling that it is working. I really want like 1-2 more VFT varieties and a couple of really nice Droseras and then maybe i can stop for a while, lol. yeah...right.

yeah, i think so too. I'm in a band but things have gotten slow (long story), i am looking for a job, so i figure with all this free time why NOT blossom a new addiction, lol?!

To update a bit...i will very soon be germinating 50 VFT seeds (from Steve_D) and i have a bunch of d. capensis seeds on the way, as well as some d. intermedia seeds i will be experimenting with.

If all goes well i will have an absurd amount of plants on my hands. Can't freakin' wait!!!

It really is a trip, there is something about CP's that you just really can't explain to most people unless they have them too. My best friend cannot for the life of him fathom why i got up at like 7 one day a couple weeks ago and drove across town to meet up with someone i met on a website to pick up leaf pullings of carnivorous plants...it just doesnt make a lick of sense to him!

Intoxicating little fellas, thats for sure. Love 'em!

Hey AFG. What do you play in the band. I play the drums.

Im only 15 and when I tell my friends about my plants they give me funny looks.

Im sure your list will grow in the next couple of months, once you start you cant stop collecting the little buggers.

All the best, Pat :D

Once you start seeing those seeds sprout, it'll be a whole new level of addiction. Trust me. I have just the one typical VFT, and a few seedlings..... bought the plant after I started trying to germinate the seeds, and watching them sprout made me grin from ear to ear for over a week. It's intense

And ya, others don't get it. My fiance is starting to think I'm nuts (ok, more nuts than before).
