Adelae care (decapitated to grow back)

I recently decapitated my Adelae because it was not cared for properly before I got it. I repotted it, waited until it recovered and made sure it was healthy and growing, then cut off everything above the soil to give it a fresh start, since they grow back from the roots. I have a few questions about care at this point...

How wet should the soil be? I've been keeping it watered by filling the tray before it evaporates completely and also using a spray bottle on the top soil to keep it moist. I'm worried about root rot though. Or should I water it like a VFT and not spray the soil at all?

How long does it take (ish) until new growth appears?

Hello, I grow D. Adelae and must say that they like permanently moist soil. So the tray watering system is best. It is impossible to kill an Adelae, unless you fertilize it, keep it in some dank basement you never thought existed, feed it hamburger, and don't water it. :)

Thanks man. :)

I'll let everyone know how long it took for it to grow back once it does. I have its decapitation date on file. ;)
