Looks nice! Does your “Florian” bloom generously? Mine sent up one flower the first year but it aborted shortly before opening. Last year was the “winter of my (Pinguiculas’) discontent because the room where they grew stayed much too warm with excess bottom heat from T5 fixtures. Now I’ve corrected that problem and the Florians (as well as esseriana, ehlersiae and debbertiana) are dormant but no blooms on them. Do they tend to bloom in winter like ehlersiae or are they more of a spring/transitional bloomer for you?

Bonjour BOB

x 'Florian' bloom generously always at this period ,transition between the dry period and the wetter spring (period where they will be outdoors here) like a lot of my mexican ping .

actually they are in my garage, in a calcareous mineral substrate dry or slightly damp, with a temperature to 8-12 °c not more , in front of a south-facing window .

have you this 'golden eyes ' slightly yellow ?
but I do not know his story and the nature of his parents

Maybe they just want to be a little cooler. I have a friend who has ehlersiae and it blooms nonstop all winter. Not that cold but still...
