Hey yall. I have an old coral life compact lighting sys. two 65 w,, But all i can find is 67k or a mix 50/50 67k and 10k , My Q is is that mix good. I do know the lower temps make plants flower,, But does anyone know how the higher K ratings ,,ie 10k affects/effects ( damn the grammer) VFT's?
what i want to do is grow some of my VFT's outside, and others indoors under artificail lighting. I will match the photo period with sunset and sunrise. But it will take time i need to have leaf cuttings to rule out genetic variation. Has anyone tried this yet if so please tell me your results.

10k is a little too high i believe. Though the 6700 should be ok. From what I understand 10k is giving off a lot of light that the plants wont use. I think that color range is more for aquatic plants. Maybe someone else can offer more advice though. But check out this link in the meantime...
