I hear ya! I've got my flava from Panman at idk 12 inches? It kinda looks like a rugelli.

That's that "Everything Bagel" flava of mine (my name, that is). It definitely has the throat for rugelli but it also gets pretty good veination. And the tops start to copper up late in the season. My mother plant for that usually puts off at least 18 inch pitchers but can go higher. I think it is the later pitchers that are longer. And then in August, it throws up phyllodia, flops to the ground, and takes a nap.

So we topped out at 32 inches! Just in time for a thunderstorm to take out the pitcher. A stake and some gardening wire and you would never know the difference.

@Matt so what do you think? I really looks like some sort of rugelli but 32 inches is beyond what you thought they would do. The other trap isn't quite as large but it is over 24 inches.

@Panman, that's the S. flava var. atropurpurea x S. flava var. ornata cross from Ron Lane done in 2009. Some do look like rugelii and others like atros and others like ornatas. John Brittnacher gave me several dozen seedlings in 2010 or 2011 and I've grown them since. I never gave them any greenhouse space until this year, but I finally got a nice Sarracenia greenhouse up and have been super impressed with those genetics. I too have several growing from that bunch that are nearly 3 feet tall.

I need to do some photos and videos of my Sarracenia greenhouse. It looks awesome right now!!

That looks like the 2009 Ron Lane cross that I got from John Brittnacher. It is a S. flava var. atropurpurea x S. flava var. ornata.

Great video and some awesome plants. I've got a couple of small leucos that came with the flavas and I can't wait to see what they do.

@Panman, thanks! Please post photos of the leucos too. I love seeing my plants after they're happily growing in other people's collections....truly warms my heart

@Supercazzola, they are AWESOME trays! You're right that they're super strong and easily moved and carried without risk of damage. However, they're also a little pricey, at around $15 each.

I've purchased them in multiple places, but what you want to look for are large pizza dough trays or boxes. They're not 1020 trays and are actually quite a bit larger in size at 18" x 26" x 3" deep. They easily trump 1020 trays in terms of sturdiness and they'll last you a lifetime.

Here are the leucos. There was a couple of very small divisions and a 'blind' rhizome that I got 4 plants off of. I sold three and kept one.

Those look great! Spring pitchers aren't usually too impressive from most leucos but those are very nice ones!!
