Are baby cockroaches good for vft? My plant caught one. Also A few of my vft traps were triggered, probably by the big wasps drinking from the moss, will the traps be fine? I know they probably will but I'm just paranoid.

Cockroaches make nice crunchy snacks for flytraps. Although, the trap will probably die after it finishes digesting.

Triggered traps will be fine, just dont trigger them more than 3 times (in my opinion).

Huh mine caught a cockroach last summer and died afterwards...
Any idea what causes this?

My theory was just that cockroaches are so stubborn to fricken die, if they're going down they'll take the leaf with them

I tend to see traps die from hard shelled insects. I don't know if it is because of something in the shell or that these are generally bigger and would thereby carry more nutrients. But often times a trap will die once it has consumed a large meal.
