Sometimes Venus flytraps don’t produce traps as large as they did the year before. Many growers report that trap size from year to year can vary drastically.
However, most Venus flytraps will begin putting out large traps sometime in mid to late summer (end of June to early July) and this will continue until dormancy sets in sometime in October or November in the northern hemisphere (USA).
