I bought recently from Peter at Pans Carnivores in Cape Town. He is very helpful and friendly. I ordered a Big Mouth (VFT) and he sent me that and 2 bonus plants a young typical and a little Alice sundew (my first - definitely not my last!)

Hi Robert. Are you selling any plants? Or are you just looking to trade?

I could have some aliciae and intermedia seeds in a month I would be willing to give to you. I don't need to trade for capensis as my plants produce copious amounts.

Any success with growing from seeds?

I have had success with Drosera (quite easy really) and some but less success with VFT, four all red/maroon flytraps. I tried nepenthes, but it didn't work, I think the seeds were probably too old as they were grown in the same conditions as my other seeds. Hope yours are doing well:)

Hi vicks and welcome to the group! I created this group for exactly the reasons that you mentioned, keeping in mind that these plants are not all that easy to get hold of in South Africa... Personally I only have a very small colection (A venus fly trap, two drosera capensis and a sarracenia), but I have grown to love these plants. I have noticed that there is an increasing number of South African growers on this site and I had the idea to create this group so that we may be able to trade and discuss. So thanks for being a part of it! P.S Am very jealous of your nepenthes ;)
